This lovely couple is getting married this Saturday, August 20th @ Rancho Las Lomas! I'm sure you have read in my previous blogs, that I absolutely love this venue! I can't wait to get there on Saturday to work. The bride is doing a lot of 'Do it yourself' items- like centerpieces and signs. So, you'll need to come back and check out for more pictures. I haven't met the couple yet because they live up North so it will be extra exciting to finally meet them! Enjoy their great engagement photo's from Braedon Photography!

Misheer and Ben, Smog Shoppe

I am usually in the waiting game after an event. That is, waiting for the photographer to send pictures. This time however, my new assistant came along and took great pictures for me. You will need to come back in a couple of months to see additional images!
Did I mention that the Antique theme is IN this year?? And who knew, that Doilies were back in style??   I was so excited to get a chance to work at Smog Shoppe. It is absolutely a fabulous quaint venue and it was so perfect for the couple. From the picture frames, to the tables that were rented for the sign-in table, dessert table and the Sweetheart table. Each item was hand picked to pull their antique theme together. You don't need to spend a lot on flowers- Get creative! Did you see the vases?? And another element to think about. Get rid of all round tables (boring!) Add some squares, do a long king's table! The napkins.... I was given the job to tie each one and add a feather. Loved it! During the set-up, we were so excited to see it come together!! It's been awhile where everything- each detail was perfect. The bridesmaids dress where so elegant that you could wear it so many times over. And the brides dress- Monique Lhuillier (SWOON!). Who needs diamonds when she has her own beautiful necklace to wear. Love her style! And, I can't leave this blog without mentioning the guy's suits. LOVE, the gray.

Cathie and Steve, Sportsmen Lodge

The antique theme is the biggest trend this Year! And it started off with Cathie and Steve's gorgeous wedding! They had so many details with the antique theme; From making their own place card frames that were custom painted and fabric to resemble old charm. We used little tacks to secure each place card (sore fingers!). Cathie also brought in old books to use around her reception to bring in the antique feel. Each guest received a little succulent plant that was wrapped in lace Doilies. The extra lighting finished the reception room.
