Industry Party:
Recently, I went to an industry party where all the Vendors were invited to mingle, eat and see the newest craze. I took pictures with my phone so please forgive the bad lighting. Again, I'm only talking about the things that I haven't seen, that pumped my blood and got me so excited.....read below!
It's all about the Napkins! I have stated before in previous blogs- Chargers, Chargers are so nice to have. But, definitely not cost effective for everyone. But, Napkins! There will always be napkins at every event, so why not try to dress it up? Change the way it gets folded? Ask your venue, if you can get the napkins a week in advance and start folding and add some accesories.
I've also stated about getting different votive holders than the regular clear ones you see all the time. Get them in your color or go vintage like the one in the picture. Or better yet, instead of having votives all over the table, get them on a platter and put them all together (will look better if you have a long rectangle table). Candles are so important and if you can find some stands at garage sales, or clearance items- get them!
Some of the hotest things of the night were definitely the lounge chairs and the light box! They were comfy and so-o chic!
One of the biggest things that I loved that I haven't seen- was the cake table on top of a high-boy table! LOVED it. The cake stood out even more which it should be considering the cake is such a highlight of the night! It's such a simple switch and won't cost you a thing!
Have a lot of tree's around your ceremony? Instead of hanging the lanterns (that usually needs lighting, which means you need ugly extention cords- AND possibly a lighting company to do this $$$). Why not, hang long ribbon attached with a hanging vase (saw some at the Crate and Barrel outlet!). Either have your florist put flowers in or go get them yourself. Easier and more cost effective. Again, after all my ceremonies I coordinate, seeing this was a nice surprise. Very Enchanting look.
I have been behind on blogging, but I couldn't resist in sending this picture out of a Menu and Napkin over a charger.
Most of you are coming into the final end of details and I thought I share this picture. The reason why I find this different is because of the way the napkin is folded lengthwise, with a beautiful ribbon (look, how it's cut at the end) and the Menu perfectly placed right next to it.
Usually, napkins are simple folded with the menu tucked inside or on top. Either way, it's a great detail to think about for your Big Day!
